June 17, 2008 Sunny Goodbyes Hey friends! I am writing you straight from the Bahamas!! I was lucky enough to sneak away for a few days with some of the Miss USA 2008 contestants! It was really hard to even come on this trip knowing it meant even less days with my Riyo before she leaves! Just like when Rachel left, our foyer is packed with cardboard boxes. I have grown so close to Riyo and the fact that she's moving all the way back to Japan makes this even harder. I know she will continue on to do great things. I have also started to add to the pile of boxes!! I will be going home soon for a few weeks for some very much needed R and R and family time!! I'll be back the 13th of July to watch the Miss Universe pageant. I'm really rooting for my new roomie. She's intellegent and gorgeous and truly a blessing to know. I am almost done! Can u believe it?! I am almost done!!!! While the date of my pageant is unknown, I am looking forward to meeting my teens and starting my new chapter in life in NY! I can honestly say that this year, as it comes to an end, has been the most important and teaching year of my life. I am so blessed. Words just don't express what this experience has meant to me.
